Information & intelligence

The Information & Intelligence Unit is the central information sharing hub within the financial sector, working with our partners in law enforcement and government to detect and prevent fraud and financial crime. We work to enhance the understanding of threats across the financial industry and the wider ecosystem through:

• collecting the volume and value of fraud across the retail fraud landscape
• hosting central industrywide systems to allow members share financial fraud intelligence across the sector helping to identify, confirm, secure and repatriate fraud funds.
• distributing intelligence alerts and threat products sourced from a range of partners in the public sector, law enforcement and financial sector
• facilitating collaboration on threats across the financial services industry
